Certification of children’s footwear

All products designated for use by children and adolescents are subject to quality confirmation procedures according to the Technical Regulation of the Customs Union “On safety of products intended for children and adolescents” (ТR СU 007/2011). For particular group of goods (e.g. toothbrushes, diapers) a State registration certificate is also required to confirm that no sanitary and epidemiological requirements are infringed.

In case of children’s footwear to understand what type of approval is required, it is necessary to determine the exact composition of materials of which the footwear is made in percentage terms.

For example, you need to know of what materials a sole, backing and outer layer are made.  We had a case where we needed to indicate the exact composition of glitters covering the shoe. Moreover, testing of samples is mandatory but in some cases it is possible to replace the procedure wit ISO certificate.

Maximum term of validity of a certificate is 5 years. Timeframe – 30-45 days.
