Wallpapers

In order to export wallpapers to the Russian Federation and the Customs Union, it is necessary to confirm that the goods are in full compliance with national standards and fire safety requirements.

There are several types of wallpapers, for example made on the basis of:

1. Vinyl
2. Paper
   
3. Textile
4. Fliseline
5. Polymeric
6. Paintable
7. Photo wallpapers

Speaking of Russia, in most cases wallpapers are subject to compulsory GOST R declaration of conformity. However, fliseline, textile and vinyl wallpapers require a certificate of conformity to Federal law of the Russian Federation №123 “Technical Regulation on fire safety requirements”.  Fire safety certificate may be valid for 1, 3 or 5 years. The approval is issued on the basis of testing of samples. Testing laboratory will check such characteristics as fire behavior, smoke emission, toxicity of combustion products and burning velocity.

Please note that fire safety certificate in question is valid only within the territory of the Russian Federation as there is no related Technical Regulation in the Customs Union in force.
