Agriculture and food

Equipment used in agriculture and food industries may include different types of machinery such as:

• Machines used for packing of food products
• Special-purpose machines (e.g. used for work with utilizers and animal feed)
• Elevator equipment and so on

 All these kinds of equipment will require approvals according to the following Technical Regulations:

1. TR CU «On safety of machinery and equipment» (ТR СU 010/2011)
2. TR CU «On safety of low-voltage equipment» (ТR СU 004/2011)
3. TR CU «Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means» (ТR СU 020/2011)
4. TR CU «On safety of the packaging» (ТR СU 005/2011)
5. TR CU «On safety of the equipment for operation in explosive environments» (ТR СU 012/2011)

Mostly this equipment is subject to ТR СU 010/2011, but if it uses AC or DC, then ТR СU 004/2011 and ТR СU 020/2011 may be applied in conjunction.

Surprisingly sometimes a certificate of conformity with TR CU "On safety of the equipment for operation in explosive environments" is required. The reason for that is that grain dust is highly flammable and may result in explosions.

Moreover if the equipment is in direct contact with food, then sanitary conclusion (Certificate of state registration or an Expert conclusion) may be required.
