GOST R certification 

GOST R certification system is the oldest system of national standards which is applicable within the territory of the Russian Federation. Currently it is being replaced by the TR CU certification system with several exceptions.

The quality of the goods can be confirmed by two documents: a GOST R certificate or a declaration.

GOST R certificate can be either mandatory or voluntary, while declaration is always mandatory.  For a particular list of the goods, such as polyethylene pipes, steel ropes, high voltage equipment, medical equipment, household chemicals and fertilizers a declaration or a mandatory certificate  is required.

Voluntary GOST R certificates, even though they are not used for passing customs clearance, will help you to reaffirm the high quality of your goods, increase competitive advantage and gain customers’ trust.

The maximum term of validity of GOST R certificates and declarations is 3 years.
